Over 250 attendees, 50+ volunteers, 15 sponsors, and more than 10 Asian community nonprofits joined hands to launch ACD
On July 27, 2025, Asian Connect Denver (ACD) held its Grand Opening at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, bringing together a vibrant crowd of over 250 guests from diverse backgrounds including Chinese, Indian, Korean, Nepalese, Peruvian, African, and American communities.
Most notably, more than 10 Asian American nonprofit organizations in the Denver area participated, making this a truly unifying moment for the broader Asian community.
Stories That Inspire Connection
Founder Lina Zhou shared her personal journey of arriving in the U.S. and the small acts of kindness that sparked the creation of ACD. “ACD stands on three pillars: Connection, Sharing, and Empowerment,” she emphasized.
A Cross-Cultural, Intergenerational Showcase
From traditional dances and instrumentals to a youth-elder poetry performance of Ode to Youth, the program brought multiple generations and cultures together on one stage—symbolizing the bridge ACD seeks to build.
Three Signature Programs Announced
Cultural Programs – Celebrations, festivals, language, and art exchange;
Music Programs – Lessons, choirs, and performances for all ages.
Community Empowerment – Youth leadership, senior engagement, and immigration support.
Powered by Community Support
The event was made possible by the dedication of over 50 volunteers and the generous contributions of 15 sponsors, including small businesses and community leaders. In return, ACD presented each sponsor and volunteer with a symbolic “Lucky Panda” gift to honor their contribution.
A Symbol of Asian American Unity and Future Growth
ACD’s Grand Opening wasn’t just about launching a new nonprofit—it marked a new chapter of solidarity and cross-cultural collaboration. With so many organizations and individuals uniting under one roof, it truly showcased the strength of a connected community.
As Lina concluded, “ACD doesn’t belong to one group—it belongs to every individual who believes in the power of community connection.”
